The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning Dr. Deborah Odoh has charged newly posted staff members to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, proactiveness, innovation, and teamwork in the discharge of their duties, emphasing the importance of fostering a smart, responsive, and collaborative research, planning, and budgeting institution.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Deborah Odoh made this known during the induction ceremony organized by the management of the Ministry on 29th October, 2026 in the Ministry’s premises
She highlighted seamless workflow; resource stewardship; empathy and emotional intelligence; discipline and the code of ethics; upholding standards; integrity and accountability and commitment to merit as effective office management, but about cultivating an environment of operational excellence, Efficiency, and accountability
She therefore charged participants to rededicate themselves to the tenets of discipline, professional ethics, and proactive office management. She encouraged them to work hand-in-hand, supporting one another with emotional intelligence and unwavering dedication to build a public service we can all be proud of
